I sang a wedding years ago at the church you see on the left at 1:24. Beautiful church, but it had no restrooms... the bride had to go down the street to one of the casinos to find a room where she could change into her wedding dress! (That may have changed since then!) Have also visited the Central City cemeteries, and the thing that most stood out in my mind was the absolute silence. It was incredibly peaceful. Never saw any kind of ghostly apparition, btw.

i live down the street. It is a mausoleum that was built to store the bodies in winter because the ground is frozen and they can’t dig holes. So they would store the bodies in it. There are seven total cemeteries in this area. They are very old, and there are lots of babies,children and mostly young adults. It’s a sad place, and it is haunted. Several cemeteries here have activity in them.. very interesting place. I spend lots of time in them. They are very beautiful also in their own way

It takes a lot of skilled workers to operate a mine. And they need to be comfortable with there families. I have personally lived in four similar towns.

There is a beautiful school house there as well that is rich with history and even housed some of the local miners at one point. Should check it out as well. Was hoping more history was in the video but definitely a place to stop in

Colorado Native 4th generation. I have always considered Cheeseman Park the most haunted and still has bodies buried there.

No idea why; I am scared in general of cliffside drives. For some reason this road didnt bother me. The road to Mesa Verde? I just about had to wash up soiled underwear once we got to the top! What a nightmare!

Will be riding a motorbike on the Highway in September but if you guys in the USA want to see real bum clenching mountain roads then look at the Alps in Europe.

Uh, U.S. 66 was first designated in 1926, LONG before Steinbecks novel.....

It makes me sad. Maybe it was a little more labor intensive than online purchases but it was great fun and the place to see and be seen. The loss of malls and theaters really hurts.

Twin Lakes is a gorgeous place to cool off during the summer months. I was hoping to hear more about the Twin Lakes steamboat. I recall that existing steamboat had to be disassembled for transport to the lakes; where it was reassembled and put to good use.

I've been on this road, and it is absolutely terrifying. For the state of Colorado to have such road as a US Highway in this modern age is ridiculous. At least put some damn guard-rails on it; oh, that's right, first the road needs to be widened to an acceptable width.

The Million Dollar Highway is a fantastic road but I have been on tons of more dangerous roads.
